01 Who we are
This website, camdoot.com (the “Website”), is owned and operated by Camdoot, operated by Satish Sahu, having its registered place of business at Chas, Bokaro, Jharkhand 827013 (“Camdoot”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
We sell CCTV cameras, DVRs, storage, power supplies, cables, monitors and related accessories, and we provide installation, configuration and maintenance services. “You” or “Customer” means any person who visits the Website, creates an account, or places an order.
02 Accepting these terms
By browsing the Website, creating an account, placing an order or booking a service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which form part of these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Website or place an order.
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you are ordering on behalf of a company, firm or institution, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
03 Your account
You may need an account to place an order, track it or raise a service request. You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for all activity that happens under your account.
- Give accurate, complete and current information, especially your delivery address and phone number.
- Tell us immediately at support@camdoot.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, abuse, resale misrepresentation, or repeated refusal of delivery.
04 Products and listings
We work to keep product descriptions, specifications, images and stock status accurate. Even so, photographs are indicative and actual colour, packaging, or a manufacturer’s revised model number may differ slightly. Camera coverage, night-vision range and image quality shown in listings are manufacturer figures measured under ideal conditions and can vary with lighting, placement, cable quality and the site itself.
All products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you order it, we will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or a full refund of that item.
05 Pricing and taxes
- All prices are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) and include GST unless the product page states otherwise.
- Delivery is charged at a flat ₹70 per order, shown separately at checkout.
- Installation, wiring, conduit, extra cable beyond the standard bundle and civil work are quoted separately and are not included in the product price unless a listing clearly says so.
- Prices, offers and discounts can change at any time without notice. The price that applies to your order is the one displayed at the moment your order is confirmed.
If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or human error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We will contact you before doing so.
06 Orders and acceptance
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted only when we confirm it by email, SMS or WhatsApp, or when it is dispatched — whichever happens first. Until then, no contract exists between us.
We may decline or cancel an order where:
- the item is out of stock or discontinued by the manufacturer;
- we cannot verify your address, phone number or payment;
- the delivery address is outside the area we currently serve;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse of a coupon, or bulk buying meant for resale; or
- there was a pricing or listing error.
If we cancel a prepaid order, the full amount is refunded to the original payment method.
07 Payments
We accept payment through our authorised payment gateway partner, which supports UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and wallets. Cash on Delivery may be offered on selected products and PIN codes at our discretion.
- Card and UPI details are collected and processed by the payment gateway on secure, encrypted infrastructure. Camdoot does not store your card number, CVV or UPI PIN.
- If money is deducted but the order does not confirm, the amount is normally reversed by your bank within 5–7 business days. Write to us with the transaction reference and we will follow it up with the gateway.
- Installation and AMC charges are payable on completion of work unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- You are responsible for any bank charge, currency conversion fee or chargeback fee applied by your own bank.
08 Shipping and delivery
Orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days and delivered in 3–7 business days depending on your location. Delivery is charged at a flat ₹70 per order. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
- Please check the packaging before accepting delivery. If the box is torn, wet or tampered with, refuse it and inform us the same day.
- Report any shortage or transit damage within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the package and product.
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once we receive payment in full.
- If delivery fails because the address was incomplete or nobody was available after repeated attempts, re-delivery may be chargeable.
09 Installation and site visits
Our site survey is free and carries no obligation to buy. After the survey we share a quotation covering cameras, DVR, storage, cable and labour.
- You must provide safe access to the site, a working power point, and permission from the owner, landlord, society or building management before we begin.
- Standard installation covers mounting, wiring along accessible routes, DVR configuration and mobile-app setup on up to 2 phones. Drilling through structural walls, false ceilings, trenching, ducting, poles and high-rise work are quoted separately.
- Most homes and shops are completed the same day. Timelines are estimates and can change with site conditions, weather or power availability.
- We take reasonable care of your property. Minor drilling marks, cable clips and patch-up work are a normal part of installation and are not treated as damage.
- If our technician arrives at the scheduled time and cannot start because access, power or permission was unavailable, a visit charge of ₹80 may apply.
- Remote viewing needs a stable internet connection at the site. We configure the app before leaving, but we cannot be responsible for your broadband, WiFi or mobile network afterwards.
10 Warranty
Cameras and DVRs sold by us carry a 1-year warranty from the date of invoice, provided by the manufacturer or brand. Warranty covers manufacturing defects only and is handled by repair or replacement at the manufacturer’s discretion. Accessories such as cables, connectors, SMPS, racks and boxes carry the warranty stated on the product page, if any.
Warranty does not cover:
- physical damage, cracks, water ingress in non-weatherproof units, or burnt boards;
- damage from power surges, lightning, rodents, fire, flooding or incorrect voltage;
- repairs, tampering or firmware changes by anyone other than Camdoot or an authorised service centre;
- a removed, altered or unreadable serial number;
- normal wear, gradual reduction in image clarity from dust or ageing, and consumables; or
- hard disk data. Recorded footage is never guaranteed and is not covered under any circumstances.
Keep your invoice — it is required for every warranty claim. Transport of the unit to and from the service centre may be chargeable where an on-site visit is not possible.
11 Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)
An AMC is an optional yearly care plan starting from ₹1,500 per year. It typically includes two preventive visits a year for camera cleaning, focus and angle correction, DVR health check and recording verification.
- AMC covers labour for the visits listed in your plan. Replacement parts, hard disks, cameras, cable and power equipment are charged separately unless your plan says otherwise.
- AMC runs for 12 months from the start date and does not renew automatically.
- AMC fees are non-refundable once the first visit has been carried out.
12 Returns, refunds and cancellation
Cancellation and return conditions are set out in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary:
- Orders can be cancelled free of charge any time before dispatch.
- Return requests for damaged, defective or wrong items must be raised within 7 days of delivery, with the item unused and in its original packaging and accessories.
- Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. Your bank may take a few additional days to credit the amount.
- Installed items, custom or made-to-order cable lengths, and software or licence activations are not returnable.
- The ₹70 delivery charge is refunded only where the return is due to our error — a wrong, damaged or defective item.
13 Lawful use of CCTV
CCTV equipment must be used lawfully and responsibly. By buying from us, you agree that you alone are responsible for how the equipment is installed and used once it is in your possession.
- Do not install cameras where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as bathrooms, changing rooms, hostel rooms or bedrooms occupied by others.
- Do not use cameras to record a neighbour’s private property, to stalk, harass or intimidate any person, or to record audio without the consent required by law.
- Display appropriate signage where required, and obtain any permission needed from employees, tenants, a society or a building owner.
- You are responsible for the security, storage, retention and lawful sharing of the footage you record, including under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian data protection law.
Camdoot is not responsible for any misuse of the equipment after delivery or installation, and we may refuse or stop an installation that appears to be unlawful.
14 How you may use this website
You agree not to:
- use the Website for any unlawful purpose or to place false, fraudulent or speculative orders;
- copy, scrape, mirror or resell any part of the Website or its content;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, accounts or systems, or introduce malicious code;
- interfere with the normal working of the Website, or post abusive, misleading or infringing content in reviews or forms.
We may restrict or withdraw access to the Website for anyone who breaches these terms.
15 Intellectual property
The Camdoot name, logo, page design, original photographs of our installations, product write-ups and all site content are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by Indian copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission.
16 Brand names and third-party links
Brand names and logos such as CP Plus, Hikvision and Dahua belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify the products we sell. Their use does not imply that we are an official agent or authorised distributor unless expressly stated on the product page.
The Website may link to third-party sites, apps or payment services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or availability.
17 Limitation of liability
We supply and install security equipment, but no security system can prevent every incident. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for theft, burglary, trespass, loss or damage to property, or any incident that a camera fails to prevent, capture or record;
- we are not liable for loss of footage, hard disk failure, corrupted recordings, or footage overwritten in the normal recording cycle;
- we are not liable for interruption of remote viewing caused by internet, electricity, ISP or third-party app or cloud outages;
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business or goodwill; and
- our total liability for any claim connected with an order will not exceed the amount you actually paid for that order.
A CCTV system is a deterrent and a record-keeping tool. It is not a substitute for insurance, guarding, or physical security measures.
18 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Camdoot, its owners, employees and technicians harmless against any claim, demand, penalty or legal cost arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the equipment or footage, or your infringement of any third party’s rights.
19 Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure in performing our obligations because of events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, fire, epidemics, strikes, riots, transport disruption, power failure, government restrictions, courier delays or manufacturer supply shortages. We will inform you and, where a delay is significant, offer you the choice of waiting or cancelling for a refund.
20 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our products, services or legal obligations change. The revised version takes effect from the date it is published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Orders placed before an update are governed by the terms in force at the time of that order. Please review this page from time to time.
21 Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute connected with the Website, an order or a service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bokaro, Jharkhand. We would much rather resolve things directly — please contact us first and give us a fair chance to fix the problem.
22 Grievance and contact
For any question, complaint or grievance about an order, a service or these terms, contact our grievance officer:
We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 7 business days.
